I launched our Diagnostic Imaging 2.0 section a short while ago, but now, as I am preparing for some Web 2.0 and Radiology conferences, the time has come for me to organize my thoughts better.

So, in the next couple days, I am going to write a series of posts about Diagnostic Imaging 2.0, which will include specific:

  • Search engines
  • Social communities
  • Podcasts and videocasts
  • Wikis
  • Blogs
  • Study sources

My aim is to show how Web 2.0 tools may enhance communication amongst diagnostic imaging professionals; how these tools can help physicians (and students) stay up-to-date with their professions more efficiently, and – my favorite – how the “Social Web” can facilitate medical education.

What is Diagnostic Imaging 2.0? In short, it is a set of Web 2.0 tools tailored for the exact needs of diagnostic imaging professionals.

I hope you will join me on this special journey, where we are going to explore the inner rings of Web 2.0 that eventually lead to Diagnostic Imaging 2.0:
